Hey!  I am very aware that these two images need to be done, but there's one problem: the new laptop is in the shop, and this one no longer has the needed software or uniforms on it!  The big computer (desktop) does, but I'd have to clear the desk and chair off so I can sit there and see what I am doing.  It won't be long, 4 days at the very most to get it back.  I'll let you know soon!

Suggestions / Re: Question about Star Trek Dedication Plaques

Thank you for understanding!  I know how it is when people alter my work and claim it as their own.  One girl on Deviant Art takes my work, alters it a bit, and says what she did and gives credit for the original image.  And while that is fine I would really rather she have asked first.  Nothing is more infuriating than putting time, effort and care into something and then seeing someone alter it a bit and claim it as theirs.  It's a rule most of us in the Star Trek Image community respect greatly and follow.

No offense taken, on the contrary, I find it reassuring that there're still people with principles. Your point is a good one that opened my eyes.

You've undertaken a titanesque task, and I thank you for all simmers and roleplayers that benefit from it.

The name and registration on the hull of a ship, yep, you're dreaming, but not because of what you think.  It is flat out rude to alter someone else's work after they create it.  So no, I would not change the name of a ship.

The dedication plaque, I actually have that exact PSD file, but I don't think I will do it until the first Big Project is done, though it seems it will come very soon.  I have 5 more pages of Humans to do, 2 pages of Trill, 8 Kriosians, 16 Orions, 8 Bajorans, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree. lol  But yeah, when those aliens are done (not going to force the Humans to be done before then) I'll consider doing some Dedication Plaques.  Just keep in mind that those numbers are double, because of Male and Female.

Suggestions / Question about Star Trek Dedication Plaques
« Last post by ManitouTF on 01 December 2017 10:17:07 AM »
Good morning,

I was wondering if you are using Photoshop to manipulate the celebritry pics and if you ever considered to create dedication plaques (mainly the ship name, registry number and motto - the rest being a list of name that could remain the same). I don't know anybody with Photoshop skills but have found a template on Deviant art to do so. I admit that I have no idea of the amount of work it would represent, so feel free to turn this down, but I was wondering if it could be a possibility.

Another photo-manipulation goodie would be to replace the name and registry number on a ship hull... but I'm probably dreaming. ;)
